SON KÎLLED ON ARRIVAL TO VISIT MOTHER

A man from Choma’s Sikalongo Village is on the run after he allegedly caused the death of his fellow by way of hitting him with a stick on the head.

Circumstances of the incident are that 40-year-old Jester Munkombwe on 02nd January, 2024, had gone to the aforementioned village to visit mother.

However, within a few minutes of his arrival and without warning, the assailant, Charles Makumba, picked a stick from the kraal and went direct to hit the now deceased Mukombwe on the head, twice.

As he was about to strike for the third time, mother to the victim, grabbed the stick from the attacker, thereafter calling her younger son to rush his brother to Sikalongo Rural Health Centre on his motor bike, to which the suspect also contributed a K50 for fuel.

The victim was later in the evening referred to Choma General Hospital where he passed on the next day around 13:00 hours.
