MAKEBI CONDEMNS UPND VIOLENCE AT SHERBOURNE HOTEL

Makebi Zulu, representing the entourage of President Brian Mundubile and himself from the opposition, issued a strong condemnation of the violent incident that unfolded this morning at Sherbourne Hotel in Kitwe.

According to Zulu, supporters aligned with the United Party for National Development (UPND) forcefully entered the hotel premises, launching attacks on their team and causing damage to their vehicles.

This act of aggression is an affront to democratic principles and the rule of law, undermining the foundation of peaceful political engagement.

Makebi Zulu urged the President Hakainde Hichilema, to take immediate action in calling his cadres to order.

He emphasized the necessity for a campaign environment that is free from violence, ensuring that all Zambians have the opportunity to participate in a fair and secure electoral process.

Zulu highlighted that violence should never be considered a tactic in political campaigning.
