UKA DOESN’T EXIST, ANYONE CAN CLAIM THAT NAME – AKAFUMBA

HOME Affairs and Internal Security Permanent Secretary in charge of Administration Joseph Akafumba says Sakwiba Sikota’s claims that the United Kwacha Alliance (UKA) registration process is still pending because he has failed to write a recommendation letter are not factual.

And Akafumba says anyone can claim the name “UKA” because Sikota’s name reservation application expired a long time ago. On Thursday last week, Sikota, who is UKA chairperson, said the alliance’s registration process was still pending because Akafumba had unfortunately failed to write a recommendation letter.

But in an interview, Tuesday, Akafumba said Sikota was not being factual, disclosing that it was impossible for him to make any recommendation because five of the proposed office bearers’ fingerprints were not cleared.
