BISHOP JOHN GENERAL CLAIMS HE WAS FORCED TO STRIP NAKED AT GUNPOINT WHILE PRAYING AT A WOMAN’S HOME

Miracle Impact Church Overseer Bishop John Nundwe, popularly known as Bishop John General has told the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court that he was forced to undress at gunpoint while conducting prayers at a woman’s house.
Opening his defence today, Mr. Nundwe who is currently facing rape charges said he had been invited by the complainant to collect a gift after she allegedly conceived following prayers he had conducted for her.
He testified that upon arriving at the house, events took an unexpected turn when the complainant and the husband allegedly forced him to strip naked while a firearm was pointed at him and demanded K1 million for his release.
Mr. Nundwe further told the court that the complainant commented on his physique while he sat naked on the floor after allegedly being forced to remove his clothes at gunpoint.
He stated that he eventually fled after hearing a voice telling him to run, adding that he escaped by jumping a high wall fence, running into a nearby bush where a passerby provided him with clothes and warned him about the are
Mr. Nundwe was found with a case to answer on April 14, 2026 and subsequently placed on his defence.
It is alleged that on November 22, 2023, the accused unlawfully had carnal knowledge of the female congregant without her consent in Lusaka.
