Sources of information predominantly from the Government System have disclosed that Hon. Charles Milupi will not be part of the Next Cabinet due to a number of factors found undesirable by President Hakainde Hichilema.
Following our assessment and Intelligence report on the prospects of the re-appointment of the Former Minister of Infrastructure, persistent public concerns and unresolved allegations of corruption and mismanagement of PPP Projects as well as eroded public confidence and support have disqualified Hon. Milupi’s chance of possible reapointment.
Moreover, Hon. Charles Milupi has been found to lack grassroot support within Barotseland and amongst UPND lower structures. It is believed that during his tenure at the helm of Infrustructure ministry where he presided over multi million dollars projects but helped none apart from himself.
Close sources from government have disclosed that President Hichilema in his second term appear to focus on UPND loyalists not people like Hon. Milupi who brought nothing to UPND but always hiding in the alliance. It is this stance which has forced Hon. Milupi to retire from politics though his official position has not been made yet. Sources say, Hon. Milupi will make his retirement from politics known after HH has finally announced his cabinet.
