THE ELITE LADIES FC RECEIVES K320,000 FROM FIFA THROUGH THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION OF ZAMBIA

The Elite Ladies Football Club wishes to affirm that, yesterday, it got K320,000 from the Football Association of Zambia, being funds coming from FIFA as a component of The FIFA World Cup Club Benefits Program for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. This makes us one of the first at any point clubs in Zambia, at any level, to get benefit funds from FIFA.

Zambian clubs which released players and those who prepared these players in the last 2 years before the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, got an impressive complete of K5 million kwacha, which was paid through The Football Association of Zambia on Wednesday this week. By yesterday, less than 24 hours after FAZ got the funds, FAZ settled up on all qualified clubs completely. Consequently, The Elite Ladies FC got K320,000 (USD 11,790). The highest sum got by a Zambian club yesterday was K1.2 million for one club that sent around 6 current and previous players to 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The FIFA World Cup Club Benefits Program was designed to perceive the commitment which football clubs make to the success of staging the FIFA World Cup. A share of the benefits from hosting the competition is distributed through the Part Associations to clubs, who released the taking part players.

Compensation is not just paid to the club with which the player was registered with when she was released for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, yet to all clubs for which the footballer has played in the two years before the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Clubs are compensated for every day the players stay in the opposition, including official arrangement period and regardless of the minutes they play. Clubs are also compensated in the event that a player made the last squad list, yet was supplanted because of injury before the first match.

As a result, FIFA paid around 152 million U.S. dollars in compensation to entities impacted by the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, with payments being made to soccer clubs, public teams, and associations.

Clubs internationally shared USD 11 million as a component of The FIFA World Cup Club Benefits Program. Every player was paid USD 30,000 through their nearby Football Association.

The Elite Ladies FC was compensated for the cooperation of Solace Selemani and Xiomara Mapepa in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. As a result, Solwezi Institute, which created Solace Selemani before we signed her, and Nkwazi Queens/Chibolya Queens, who created Xiomara Mapepa before we signed her. Selemani and Mapepa each got USD 30,000 and both purchased a house each and a vehicle each among other investments.

We thank the Football Association of Zambia, drove by Mr Andrew Kamanga and oversaw by Mr Reuben Kamanga, for the empowering climate where we have figured out how to run our clubs and foster players who have been allowed a fair opportunity to take an interest at such tournaments as the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. We shall go on with the advancement of players to support the country and of the players themselves.
