RESOLUTIONS OF THE 4TH TONSE ALLIANCE COUNCIL OF LEADERS (CoL) MEETING HELD ON MONDAY, 18TH NOVEMBER 2024 AT CREST LODGE IN LUSAKA
The meeting was called to order by the Alliance Chairperson, His Excellency the 6th Republican President, and soon to be 8th Republican President, Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu, at 16 hrs. All members were in attendance. The following was resolved:
1. That the TONSE ALLIANCE will utilize the New Congress Party (NCP) as a platform for fielding candidates in the upcoming by-elections in Kawambwa, Chililabombwe and Shang’ombo, as well as all future elections, including the 2026 general elections;
2. That TONSE ALLIANCE leaders shall all travel to Kawambwa to escort and give solidarity to the TONSE Parliamentary Candidate during the filing in of nominations on Thursday, 21st November 2024. The TONSE ALLIANCE will subsequently hold a Press Briefing in Kawambwa, immediately after filing in of nominations for our candidate. New members of the TONSE ALLIANCE shall be unveiled at this Press Briefing;
3. That all leaders of the TONSE ALLIANCE shall, tomorrow, Tuesday, 19th November 2024, travel to Kabwe to visit the incumbent Kawambwa Member of Parliament, Honorable Nickson Chilangwa, who is currently unduly incarcerated at Mukobeko Maximum Prison on flimsy cooked up charges, in order to offer him moral support, as well as obtain his blessings for the TONSE ALLIANCE Candidate in the Kawambwa Parliamentary by-election.
With no other business to discuss, the TONSE ALLIANCE Council of Leaders (CoL) meeting was adjourned sine die at 17 hrs.
