President Hakainde Hichilema suffered embarrasment when he was snubbed when the Litunga, His Majesty Lubosi Imwiko II docked at Nayuma at Mongu harbour.
Thousands of people who had gathered the whole day, Saturday, treated the Litunga and the royal badges to a thunderous welcome.
And when the Litunga finally disembarked, he was received by the Guest of Honour, Mwine Lubemba, Chitimukulu, Kanyanta Manga II of the Bemba people.
His Majesty and Mwine Lubemba then proceeded to board the Vehicles leaving Pesident Hichilema stuck in the VIP tent with his officials in what appeared to be a serious protocal glitch.
When the Litunga and his entourage arrived at Namoo in Lumulunga, President Hichilema and government officials openly snubbed the event.
The evening that celebrates the conquering of the waters during the Kuomboka Ceremony and the return of the Litunga to the Summer Palace, saw empty chairs where President Hichilema and his entourage should have sat.
