ERB sends DG on forced leave, rises against board chair over Zesco tariff increase

THE Energy Regulation Board has sent its Director General, Yohane Mukabe, on forced leave after it emerged that the recent approval of Zesco tariff increment was done without full consultation and prior notice to the government.

In a meeting held yesterday morning, the board also passed a vote of no confidence in the board chairman, Reynolds Bowa, who has been accused of “pulling in opposite directions” with the institution.
