POLITICIANS AND 2024 KOUMBOKA CEREMONY
This year’s Koumboka ceremony could be the most attended by Zambian Politicians. All the major political players were in Mongu for the ceremony.

The opposition had advised President Hakainde Hichilema not to attend since he was not invited to grace the ceremony.
I don’t need a passport to visit Mongu, President Hichilema told his Supporters as he arrived at Mongu Airport yesterday. President Hichilema said he was to attend the event as a Citizen.
Those who advised President Hichilema not to attend flew into Mongu this morning to attend the Koumboka ceremony.
The opposition alliance, UKA chartered a plane to fly it’s leaders who were led by their Chairman Sakwiba Sikota. Former president Edgar Lungu who is part of the alliance delivered a special message to the Barotse Royal Establishment through a live broadcast clad in a Lozi attire called Munsinsi flanked by his wife, former First Lady Esther Lungu.
