PARAMOUNT CHIEF CHITIMUKULU CLARIFIES MISINFORMATION SURROUNDING KUOMBOKA CEREMONY

Paramount Chief Chitimukulu has addressed the recent social media reports regarding his presence and that of President Hakainde Hichilema at the Kuomboka Ceremony. He dismissed these reports as mere political manifestations by uninformed individuals. The Mwine Lubemba Questions Accusations Against President Hakainde Hichilema.

Expressing his disbelief, the Mwine Lubemba questioned the accusations that President Hichilema was competing with him at the Kuomboka Ceremony. The Mwine Lubemba highlighted that the President had facilitated his movement from Northern to Western Province, and it was unjust to accuse him of competing.

Paramount Chief Chitimukulu has emphasized that there was nothing wrong with him being invited as the guest of honor while President Hichilema attended the same ceremony as a citizen. He stated that the President’s attendance should be seen as a sign of respect for the traditional authority.

Government Officials have Affirmed the Harmony Between the State and Traditional Leadership. During the meeting, Local Government and Rural Development Minister Garry Nkombo, Tourism Minister Rodney Sikumba, Green Economy Minister Collins Nzovu, and Western Province Minister
Kapekwa Mbangweta echoed the sentiment of unity between the state and the traditional leadership. Minister Nkombo reiterated that there was no competition between the two entities and emphasized President Hichilema’s commitment to respecting the Mwine Lubemba.
