RE: DEMAND FOR IMMEDIATE RETRACTION, UNRESERVED APOLOGY, REMOVAL OF DEFAMATORY PUBLICATIONS AND UNDERTAKING TO CEASE FURTHER DEFAMATION OF MR. MILES BWALYA SAMPA
We act for Mr. Miles Bwalya Sampa (“our Client”), upon whose instructions we write.
It has come to our Client’s attention that on or about 16th July 2026, you published and caused to be published on your Facebook page known as “Lily Mutamz TV”, statements concerning our Client accompanied by
photographs of a deceased lady identified as Ruth Mbandu.
The publication has since been viewed, shared and disseminated to members of the public both within and outside Zambia.
In your publication,you made, inter alia, the following statements concerning our Client:
“Miles Sampa… murdered Ruth Mbandu.
“You killed her…
“You wanted to conceal her pregnancy by eliminating her..
“Cold-blooded killer.
You further alleged that our Client was attempting to evade criminal responsibility and made additional statements portraying him as a murderer and a person involved in occult practices.
The above allegations are entirely false, malicious, reckless and devoid of any factual or legal basis whatsoever.
At no time has our Client been convicted of, charged with, or found responsible for the murder or unlawful killing of Ruth Mbandu or any other person.
Your publication was calculated to, and has in fact had the effect of, exposing our Client to public hatred, ridicule, contempt and serious reputational injury.
Further, your statements suggest damaging insinuations to the public, including but not limited to the false insinuation that our Client:
1. is a murderer;
2. deliberately caused the death of Ruth Mbandu;
3. sought to conceal an alleged pregnancy by killing the deceased;
4. is evading criminal prosecution through political influence;
5 . engages in criminal conduct and occult practices; and
6. is morally and legally unfit to hold public office.
Should you fail or neglect or refuse to comply with the above demands within seven (7) days.
Our Client has given us strict instructions to commence legal proceedings against you without any further notice.
