MALAWIAN TRADITIONAL HEALER APPEARS IN COURT FOR OBTAINING MONEY CLAIMING HE WOULD RESURRECT THE DÈAD
A Malawian traditional doctor has appeared in the Chipata Magistrates’ Court for obtaining money by false Pretences after he claimed that he would resurrect a dead person in Kasenengwa district.
Emmanuel Banda 34 obtained 900 Kwacha from the family of Drain Nyirenda of Katintha village in chief Chikuwe’s area who died while performing Gulewamkulu, a Chewa traditional dance.
Mr Nyirenda died while performing Gologolo dance, which involves dancing on high poles on 24th December 2023.
