KALABO MOVES DIRECTOR SPORTS, NEW APPOINTEE FAILS
Deputy Secretary to Cabinet, Oliver Mubita Kalabo removed the Director of Youth at the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts, Cade Chikobo.
Kalabo transferred Davies Moonga to the position if Director Youth.
However, Moonga was so incompetent that both the Minister and the two Permanent Secretaries demanded for his removal.
Kalabo has since obliged and moved Moonga but taken him to as Director at the ticketing office at Cabinet Office.
But Kalabo has refused to reinstate the widely experienced Cade Chikobo despite the officer having committed no offence.
Kalabo also moved another experienced civil servant, Tobias Chomba, Director of Human Resources and Administration at Ministry of Finance and National Planning, and moved him to PSMD on holding position.
In his place, he brought Lois Mulube from the Ministry of Agriculture. Kalabo has also made Mulube act as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Finance and National Planning.
Chikobo and Chomba join over 400 senior public service officials who have been parked at Public Service Management Division (PSMD) on accusation that they are members of the Patriotic Front even when they were employed under Kaunda, MMD and some under the Patriotic Front.
