Vice President of the Con Court Anold Mweetwa Shilimi has refused State Cousel John Sangwa who joined the eligibility case of Edgar Chagwa Lungu as friend of the court to address the open court.

Anold Mweetwa Shilimi is one of the three ConCourt judges that former President Edgar Chagwa Lungu petitioned for recusal from the case due to his proximity to Mr Hakainde Hichilema.

STATE Counsel John Sangwa has since excused himself from the court seating at the supreme court’s complex in Lusaka that is heavily guarded by armed police men and women.

In his petition that was thrown out last Week President Edgar Lungu argued that Mr Anold Mweetwa Shilimi recuse himself from the case as he has is conflicted due to his close relationship with Mr Hakainde Hichilema seating as President of the Republic of Zambia.

Justice Shimili told Mr Sabgwa that the court had made a Unanimous Decision to bar him from addressing it.
