Don’t involve me pleads, magistrate that jailed Munir Zulu
Lumezi Member of Parliament , Munir Zulu had sued Chief Lusaka Resident Magistrate, Davies Chibwili and sought to stay his judgement as the proceedings were tainted with illegalities.
Chibwili proceeded to jail Zulu.
Chibwili has pleaded with the Constitutional Court to remove him from the matter as a party as he was merely performing his judicial function as a magistrate.
The State has also requested the Constitutional Court to remove Chibwili stating ghat Muniri Zulu must restrict the process between himself and the Attorney General.
Zulu sued the Attorney General and Chibwili in his personal capacity and demanded K2million.
Chibwili jailed Zulu for defaming two Cabinet Ministers and Road Development Agencies Board Chairperson.
Munir insisted that he had received credible information , in his capacity as a leader of APNAC, that the trio had received a $250,000 bribe towards the awarding of the PPP of the Lusaka Ndola Dual Carriageway.
