
GOVT CANCELS PASSPORTS OF MWAMBA, JAY BANDA, BINWELL MPUNDU , KAIZER ZULU, SISHUWA & LILIAN MUTAMBO
Government cancels passports for Mwamba, Mutambo, Sishuwa, Kaizer, Binwell and Jay Jay!
Government has cancelled or revoked the passports of six prominent individuals, citing national security reasons.
Those affected are former ambassador Emmanuel Mwamba, former Petauke Central MP Emmanuel Jay Banda, former Nkana MP Binwell Mpundu, former State House Special Assistant Kaizer Zulu, academician Dr Sishuwa Sishuwa and blogger Lillian Mutambo.
According to Government Gazette Notice Number 1421 of 2026, dated September 7 and published on September 11, the passports are no longer valid for identification, travel or any official purpose
“Any use of the canceled documents may constitute an offense. The public, government institutions, financial institutions, border control authorities, law enforcement agencies and all other relevant institutions are accordingly advised not to accept, recognize or rely upon the said documents,” the gazette read.
The affected individuals have been directed to surrender the cancelled passports to the Department of National Registration, Passport and Citizenship, Immigration or the Zambia Police Service.
