Police arrest Mansa tailor for insulting President Hichilema!
Police have arrested and charged a 38-year-old man from Mansa for allegedly insulting President Hakainde Hichilema on TikTok.
Kennedy Mwansa, of Musaila Junction in Mansa has been arrested and charged with harassment using electronic gadgets after a video allegedly containing indecent language directed at President Hakainde Hichilema circulated on TikTok.
Police Assistant Public Relations Officer Timothy Malumo said in a statement that the video was reported to Mansa Central Police Station on September 9, 2026.
Malumo says investigations and analysis of the video led to the identification and subsequent apprehension of Mwansa, who works as a tailor at Musaila Junction.
A mobile phone allegedly used to record and upload the video has also been recovered and secured as an exhibit.
Mwansa remains in police custody pending his appearance in court.
