Robert Lewandowski’s wife, Anna, opens up on Instagram about life with an athlete 💔:
🗣️ “I spent a long time thinking about what to write here.
I could post a smiling photo, say that we’re “off to chase what’s next,” and pretend that everything is perfect. But it isn’t. And I want to be completely honest with you.
A huge change is ahead of us: moving to Chicago. And although I should probably be writing about excitement, today I want to tell you one thing: I’m honestly terrified.
The past few weeks have been a rollercoaster of extreme emotions for me. Barcelona became my home. My safe place, a city I loved with all my heart. The thought of packing again, leaving behind what I built, and starting over in a way simply scares me.
As a mother, I feel an enormous amount of stress. I worry about the girls and their emotions, about a new school, and about how they will find themselves in a completely new world. Anyone who has gone through such a big move with children knows how heavy that mental burden can be for a parent.
Life beside an athlete is not only about the bright moments. It also comes with difficult family compromises. Robert’s career path is now bringing us a new challenge. I stand firmly by his side and support him with all my strength, because we are a team. But as a woman, I have the right to feel fear. I have the right to feel overwhelmed, and today I’m not going to pretend otherwise.”
