Protect free education by voting UPND – Hichilema

PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has appealed to voters in Muchinga Province to retain the UPND in government, saying programmes such as free education and the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) depend on the ruling party securing victory in the August 13 general elections.

Speaking shortly after arriving in Chinsali District yesterday for a working visit, President Hichilema said Zambians should vote for UPND candidates at all levels if they want development programmes introduced by his administration to continue.

The Head of State, who was received by party officials and supporters, said the ruling party was returning to engage with the people of Muchinga as the country heads towards polling day.

President Hichilema told supporters that free education had enabled thousands of children to return to school and should be protected through the ballot.

According to the President, electing UPND councillors, members of parliament and the presidential candidate would help ensure that development projects continue uninterrupted.

“For us to win, all of you. To keep our children in school through free education, to continue constructing schools, classrooms and desks, and to continue with CDF, we must win in August and we must win big,” President Hichilema said.

The President urged supporters not to leave the campaign work to a few individuals but to take personal responsibility for selling the party’s message to voters.

“Everybody is a campaign manager,” the President said.

President Hichilema proceeded to Kitwe as part of the President’s ongoing engagements with candidates and party structures. engagement.

Meanwhile, the Head of State is expected in Mansa and Kasama districts today on a working visit for the similar engagements.
