UPND’S TREVOR MWIINDE GOES UNOPPOSED AS MP IN CHOMA SOUTH CONSTITUENCY
UPND candidate Trevor Mwiinde has gone unopposed in the newly created Choma South Constituency parliamentary race ahead of the 13th August 2026 General Elections.
Returning Officer Jairo Makuni announced that Mr. Mwiinde was the only validly nominated candidate, with no other candidates filing nominations for the seat.
Makuni declared that, in accordance with Regulation 20(4) of the Electoral General Regulations of 2016, Trevor Mwiinde has duly been elected as Member of Parliament for Choma South Constituency, effective from the date set for polls on 13th August 2026.
