South Africa’s Ambassador to the US Roelf Meyer Receives Warm Welcome in Washington DC
Veteran negotiator and newly appointed South African ambassador to the United States, Roelf Meyer, has officially presented his credentials to Donald Trump in Washington DC, formally beginning his diplomatic mission in the US.
Meyer received a warm welcome alongside 12 other diplomats as he takes over the role amid efforts to rebuild strained relations between Pretoria and Washington following tensions during the tenure of former ambassador Ebrahim Rasool.
