UPND Deputy Western Province Youth Chairperson Boyd Muyatwa has endorsed Gary Ngombo, the UPND Chairperson for elections, as a potential presidential candidate for 2026. This move comes on the heels of Southern Province’s endorsement of Ngombo, who is being considered as a possible replacement for President Hakainde Hichilema.
According to Muyatwa, Ngombo is a leader who genuinely cares about the people of Barotseland and has the potential to unite the country. Muyatwa praised Ngombo’s selflessness, noting that he is not an egocentric person ¹.
Ngombo’s endorsement by Western Province’s youth leadership is a significant development in Zambia’s political landscape. As the country gears up for the 2026 presidential elections, Ngombo’s candidacy is gaining momentum.
He said this in a secret interview with Barotseland Watchdog.
