TRUMP DEMANDS IRAN’S ENRICHED URANIUM BE BROUGHT TO US OR DESTROYED UNDER WATCH AS GAS HITS $4.50 AMID HORMUZ BLOCKADE
President Trump stated Iran’s enriched uranium — which he called “nuclear dust” — must be brought to the United States or destroyed under strict supervision by nuclear energy facilities and agencies.
David Spunt reported: “He says it should either be brought to the United States, destroyed, or destroyed with nuclear energy facilities and agencies watching it to be destroyed.”
Trump reinforced his red line at a Memorial Day ceremony: “They will never have a nuclear weapon… These incredible men and women gave their lives to ensure that the world’s number one state sponsor of terror will never have a nuclear weapon.”
On negotiations, Trump posted: “Nobody has seen it or knows what it is. It isn’t even fully negotiated yet. So don’t listen to the losers who are critical about something they know nothing about. Unlike those before me who should have solved this problem many years ago, I don’t make bad deals!”
Secretary of State Marco Rubio added: “We’re gonna give diplomacy every chance to succeed before we explore the alternatives.”
Meanwhile, the Strait of Hormuz blockade has pushed the national average gas price above $4.50 a gallon.
