‘TANKS ARE FINISHED!’ PETRAEUS WAR WARNING SHOCKS THE WEST
Retired U.S. General David Petraeus has issued a dramatic warning that modern warfare has changed forever, saying the war in Ukraine proves drones now dominate the battlefield.
Petraeus said the United States has “not remotely learned” the crucial lessons emerging from the brutal conflict, where Ukraine is reportedly deploying up to 10,000 drones every day.
According to the former CIA chief, drones are now responsible for around 90% of Russian casualties, turning vast stretches of the front line into deadly “kill zones” where even heavily armored vehicles cannot survive.
He warned that tanks can no longer maneuver safely and soldiers hiding in trenches are still vulnerable because drones can fly directly into defensive positions.
Petraeus said the conflict has exposed a revolutionary shift in warfare, urging the U.S. military to urgently redesign its strategy, create specialized unmanned-drone forces, and develop weapons systems capable of receiving rapid software and hardware upgrades within weeks instead of years.
