SYLVIA MASEBO WARNS AGAINST CHANGING PRESIDENCY IN 2026

Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Sylvia Masebo, has advised Zambians to maintain President Hakainde Hichilema in office, citing his exceptional leadership and vision for the country’s economic development.

Addressing residents at Chartonel Primary School when she toured some Constituency Development Fund -CDF-projects in Chongwe district, Ms. Masebo warned that changing the presidency in the 2026 general elections would be detrimental to Zambia’s future.

Ms. Masebo who is also Chongwe Member of Parliament has highlighted President Hichilema’s achievements, particularly his debt restructuring initiative, which saved the country from allocating its entire national budget to paying creditors.

She has also praised the president as a “serious visionary and hardworking leader” who has brought hope to Zambians after years of economic struggles.

Ms. Masebo has advised that instead of changing the presidency, Zambians can “play” by changing their Members of Parliament and councilors.

She urged citizens to support President Hichilema’s re-election bid, allowing him to continue developing the country.
