STAYING FOCUSED ON OUR MISSION AND CALLING- Bishop Joshua Banda

STAYING FOCUSED ON OUR MISSION AND CALLING

Church, we are going through a fairly challenging phase, and this calls upon us to remain focused on our mission, our calling, and the assignment God has entrusted to us.

Of late, there has been some politically aligned rhetoric that has made undue reference to the PentecostalAssemblies of God Zambia generally, and Nortmead Assembly in particular, seemingly seeking to draw us into premature and unnecessary responses.

I urge us not to be distracted or drawn into engagements that could shift our attention from our Gocl-given mandate.

Let us keep our eyes on the ball. We know who we are, whose we are, and what we have been called to do” Our calling transcends political seasons, personalities, and partisan interests.

Our calling is to the nations.

We will therefore continue to represent the Lord and His Kingdom agenda faithfully. We will proclaim the Gospel, serve our communities, stand for truth and justice, speak for the voiceless, pursue peace and reconciliation, and provide prophetic and pastoral leadership whenever circumstances require it”.

We belong to Christ, and our allegiance to Him must remain supreme. We will neither be
intimidated into silence where we must speak, nor provoked into speaking where wisdom requires restraint. As Scripture reminds us, “He who has knowledge spares his words”
(Proverbs 17.27).

PAOG & NAOG remain an open, neutral, and non-partisan space for all. We welcome and
embrace everyone, regardless of political affiliation, because our identity in Christ is greater and more enduring than any political identity or association.

ln Christ, we are one family, united by a
higher calling and a shared faith.

We are earnestly praying for a transparent process that will reveal the truth many seek, to restore sanity and healing in the church and the entire nation.

Let us therefore remain prayerful, discerning, united, and focused. Political seasons will come and go, but the mission of Christ remains.

God bless the Church
