LAWYER Sakwiba Sikota has called on Director of Public Prosecutions Gilbert Phiri to immediately release his clients, Brian Mundubile, Makebi Zulu and 16 others.
Mundubile and others were arrested for allegedly being in possession of high-grade military weapons, intended to threaten State security.
Speaking to journalists, Sikota said it was disappointing that his clients had been in detention for more than two weeks without court appearance, “It is very disappointing that the DPP makes such a statement.
They have been holding these people for more than two weeks and the DPP yesterday, makes an admission that they do not have the evidence. He says that they are still investigating.
