PSG president, ‘pained’ by Mbappe’s departure, calls it a betrayal
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi views Kylian Mbappé’s impending departure this summer as a betrayal.
The 25-year-old forward has informed the club of his desire to leave on a free transfer and is currently in discussions with Real Madrid.

Sources revealed to ESPN that, despite potentially forgoing bonuses amounting to around €100 million by leaving on a free transfer, Mbappé sees no issue with his decision.
However, Al-Khelaïfi is dissatisfied with the situation, and recent events within the club indicate underlying tensions.

Mbappé was substituted at halftime during Friday’s 0-0 draw with Monaco, following a similar substitution in PSG’s previous draw with Rennes the week before.
In an attempt to address the growing tension surrounding these substitutions, the French forward met with PSG manager Luis Enrique at the club’s training center on Saturday, as reported by sources to ESPN.
