President Hakainde Hichilema has appealed to the international community to aid Zambia in confronting two critical challenges: mitigating hunger and transitioning towards agriculture reliant on irrigation to ensure sustained food security.
In an exclusive interview with CNN on matters related to drought, monitored by Mafken FM radio, President Hichilema emphasized the urgent need for global support as Zambia grapples with a severe drought, worsening food shortages and jeopardizing both energy production and agricultural output.
Mr Hichilema has stressed that immediate action is imperative to avert a humanitarian crisis, underscoring the importance of international assistance in providing relief and implementing sustainable solutions.
