Please Help Me Find My Dad- Kafwaya’s Family Says They Still Don’t Know Where He is
The family of former Lunte MP Mutotwe Kafwaya has publicly appealed for help locating him, saying they’ve had no contact and no official word on his whereabouts since Friday, 14 August.
His son, Mubanga Kafwaya, said the last time they spoke was on his own birthday, Wednesday 12 August. “Mister President, you have two sons. Imagine yourself in my position,” he said. “Please help me find my dad.”
Kafwaya’s elder brother, Busuma Mukupa, confirmed the family has been unable to establish his whereabouts or safety since Friday, and has received no official communication from authorities.
This appeal lands right alongside government’s own detailed account of the Kabulonga incident, issued the same day, which named 11 people arrested and charged, and confirmed Mundubile “was also found on the scene.” Kafwaya’s name appears nowhere in that statement, neither as arrested nor as having fled.
Mundubile has claimed Kafwaya was shot and hospitalised, a claim government has separately denied. With everyone else now accounted for, Kafwaya remains the one unresolved name.
