Namwala father impregnates biological daughter after defiling her for 2 years
POLICE in Southern Province have apprehended a 37-year-old man of Namwala district after it was confirmed that he had been defiling his 15-year-old daughter for over two years.
Hamaundu Mwemba and his wife, separated in 2022.
However following their marriage separation, Mwemba decided to start taking care of their daughter who was only 13-Years-old by then.
The two lived together in a one roomed house, when Mweemba decided to take advantage of the situation and deflower his biological daughter for two good years.
Neighbors would always suspect that something strange could have been happening in the Father-daughter one roomed house, but had nothing to confirm their suspicions with.
It was until Thursday when some close elderly female neighbors noticed that the young girl portrayed signs of a pregnant person. And they immediately alerted the police.
Southern Province Police Commanding Officer Auxensio Daka who confirmed the incident said immediately upon being alerted, police rushed to the house and apprehended the suspect and took the survivor to the hospital to confirm the pregnancy.
“Police went and apprehended the Suspect and placed him in custody, escorted the victim to the hospital for medical examination where she was confirmed to be pregnant. Investigations on the matter are still ongoing ,” said Daka.
