NABOONGA SECONDARY SCHOOL PUPIL DIÊS AFTER BEING HIT BY A SPEEDING VIHECLE
A grade 11 Pupil of Naboonga Secondary in Chingola has Died after being hit by a speeding Motor Vehicle.
The incident happened in the early hours of today as the Child was trying to cross the road.
Chingola District Education Board Secretary Noal Simulunga has confirmed the incident to RISE FM NEWS in an interview.
Mr Simulunga says the District has continued recording accidents involving School Children.
He says his Office is working with Police and traffic Officers to ensure that accident involving School Children are mitigated.
Mr Simulunga has further disclosed that the driver has since been apprehended after he attempted to escape.
And Chingola District Commissioner Raphael Chimupi said he is saddened by death of the pupil.
He has further called on Drivers to exercise caution on the road.
Meanwhile Copperbelt Province Police Commanding Officer Peacewel Mweemba is yet to issue a statement on the matter.
