MWENSE RESIDENTS DENIED TO BUY MEALIE MEAL BY CHIKOTA COUNCIL CHAIRPERSON
It’s sad to note that Mwense council chairperson Steven Chikota is punishing his own people who voted for him in Mwense district by subjecting them to start walking 85 kilometers to buy mealie meal in Mansa after chikota burned all millers and retailers to stop bringing the commodity closer to the people.
Recently, Chikota decided to take a routine galavanting in shops and ambushing the business using the name of the president Hakainde hichilema and vice president Mutale Nalumango.
Chikota decided to close shops and accuse the businessmen of smuggling Mealie meals to congo when in fact not.
Luapula has only two reliable millers who are supplying Mealie meal namely APG and Jimbara Milling plants.
Luapula province Permanent secretary Might Mumba also endorsed the move without knowing that these people are destroying the name of the president.
It’s now more than two weeks since Mwense district has no mealie meal.
