MONEY TO CORRUPT CANDIDATES BUT NO MONEY TO PAY FARMERS – SAYS MUNDUBILE
Honourable Brian Mundubile, the presidential candidate for the National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP), said that the ruling United Party for National Development (UPND) has a lot of money to influence opposition candidates to withdraw from the upcoming August 13 General Election.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Kafue, Mundubile claimed that some opposition hopefuls had been offered bribes ranging from K10 million to K15 million to step down from the race.
He contrasted this purported financial capacity with what he described as the government’s inability to pay farmers for their produce, suggesting a misallocation of funds.
Mundubile’s comments implied that while the ruling party had the means to manipulate the electoral competition, it lacked the necessary resources to support key sectors such as agriculture.
