MILES SAMPA ACCUSES PAN AFRICAN PARLIAMENT STAFF OF WORKING WITH AFRICAN MPS OVER PETITION FOR HIS REMOVAL
Pan African Parliament Committee on Audit and Public Accounts(CAPA) Chairperson, Miles Sampa has accused staff in Midrand of working with African members of Parliament and staff that have signed a petion to have him and PAP Acting President Gayo Arshebiri, removed.
Sampa wrote on the PAP WhatsApp group, a scathing attack but later deleted it.
Here is a response to one of the staff.
“Hon Sampa why did you delete your messege at 00.07hrs and 00.11hrs you posted earlier. Note that we read your message and found it unpalatable”.
“In your message you attacked PAP staff for raising a petition against Acting President Gayo and yourself Hon Sampa.”
“In the petition to the AUC, PRC, and Assembly PAP Staff raised serious issues relating to the way Dr Gayo and yourself have abused the PAP since August 2023”.
“In your message posted on this platform, you allege that PAP staff have been part of mismanagement.”
“You further allege that Mr Akibate is not qualified to act as Deputy Clerk in charge of Finance, Administration and Human Resources because he has been a Serjeant at Arms.”
“With due respect Hon. Sampa Mr. Akibate is far more educated and experienced in management than yourself.”
“He is more than qualified to be Clerk of PAP. Lest you did not know there are inumerable examples of people who have risen from being a messenger or secretary in an organisation to become Chief Executive Officer in the same organisation because they have attained higher qualifications and experience”.
“Look at CVs if some former and current Heads of States. Three weeks Gayo and Sampa removed Mr. Akibate from the position of Deputy Clerk Finance, Administration and Human because he refused to sign an employment contract and pay salary to Mr. Madasa and several others recruited illegally by Gayo and Sampa.”
“Sampa you have been everywhere all over including India with Gayo purporting to represent PAP.”
“These malpractices will have to be investigated once the PAP is back to business.”
“Sampa you are clearly unsuitable to be Chair of the Audit Committee of PAP.”
In your country Zambia, you are in court against your own political party, the Patriotic Front.”
“The party expelled you and you are fighting for your political life.”
In their petition to the AU PAP staff said, of Sampa:
“Mr. Miles Sampa has lost all credibility as the Chairman of the Audit Committee to provide
oversight, he has been on the front line of violating the rules and regulations that his role is a custodian of by implementing illegal orders. We therefore call for PRC and the
Parliament’s action to immediately remove him as the Chairman of the Audit Committee.”
“He has failed his mission as the guardian of compliance”.
