MIA PHIRI MAKES HISTORY WITH DOUBLE MEDAL HAUL AT ACCRA 2023 AFRICAN GAMES.

Zambian swimmer Mia Phiri has once again achieved a great milestone at the ongoing Accra 2023 African Games in Ghana. Adding to her impressive record, Phiri has secured a second bronze medal in the Women’s 50m Freestyle event, clocking an impressive time of 26.27 seconds and claiming third place on the podium.

This latest triumph follows Phiri’s earlier success in the 50m Backstroke event, where she also clinched a medal. Notably, Phiri has become the first Zambian swimmer to achieve such a milestone, securing two medals at the All Africa Games.

Phiri’s historic achievement has not only made waves in the pool but has also significantly contributed to Team Zambia’s medal tally, now standing at four at the ongoing continental games.
