Kenyan man escapes Isoka Court n@ked

A suspect of Kenyan descent today stunned the court in Isoka district when he decided to strip naked and flee the court vicinity in his birthday suit.

 

Moses Makari who is facing a charge of failing to appear before the nearest immigration office escaped from lawful custody upon his arrival at the court.

Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said in an interview that the incident happened today morning around 09:15 hours at the Isoka magistrate court.

He said the suspect was scheduled to appear before the court on a charge of failing to appear before the nearest immigration office.

“Brief facts of the matter are that January 10th, 2024 at around 19:15 hours, Constable Nyirenda Diaz the Court orderly in company of Constable Nalwamba were taking remandees from Isoka Correctional Facility to the Isoka Resident Subordinate Magistrate Court using a ZP 283 B Motor Vehicle, Suddenly when they arrived at the court, one remandee , Makori Moses jumped out of a parked vehicle and began running away naked as he had undressed when the vehicle was parked,” he said.

He however said officers chased after him and managed to apprehend him with the help of the members of the community.

Mr Hamoonga said the suspect sustained two deep cuts on the right leg las a result of falling on an iron sheet as he was being chased after.

“The escapee was later taken to Isoka Police Station where the matter was formally reported. Acting on the report, a docket of Escape from lawful custody was opened and the suspect was searched and detained in custody pending court,” he said.
