Jobless nurses, teachers should campaign, vote for Bally — Hichilema
PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema yesterday directed his political adviser Levy Ngoma to note down names of volunteer nurses that attended his Isoka rally and assured them of employment.
And the Head of State has urged nurses to campaign and vote for him.
Addressing a rally in Isoka of Muchinga Province, President Hichilema echoed figures of teachers and nurses his government has employed.
He said over 45 teachers have been employed adding that the number of health workers employed go over 20,000.
The Head of State urged unemployed teachers, nurses, carpenters, engineers among others to campaign and vote for him, saying they were the next to be employed.
“There are nurses there who are saying they are volunteers and they have not been employed, the President has said it, you will be employed. I want your names, I want your numbers and your certificates and you will be employed, including these ones that are standing there.
“When this President says something, it happens. So, these are lucky people, so you nurses must campaign and vote for Bally on August 13,” the President said.
He added that: “And all those who have not been employed don’t be angry.”
