I owe the public an apology. I was too quick to congratulate HH.
After reflecting on what has happened in Matero, the Lusaka mayoral election, the assassination of Hon. Mufwaya, and today’s threat to deal with BM8 and destroy the party, I can no longer pretend everything is normal.
I therefore withdraw my congratulations. I now believe these elections were compromised, and the ECZ has serious questions to answer.
UPND’s silence on these issues is equally disturbing.
If the people’s votes were stolen, these elections must be declared null and void. Democracy cannot be built on fraud.
