BREAKING NEWS: HON. CHARLES MILUPI’S ADD PARTY DITCHES HIM FOR TONSE PAMODZI ALLIANCE

The ground is shifting fast in Western Province…..

By Barotseland Watchdog

The Alliance for Democracy and Development, ADD, the only party Hon. Charles Milupi could still call his own, has officially collapsed into the Tonse Pamodzi Alliance in Western Province. What started as Milupi’s political base is now empty. The party members walked away, leaving him without a party and structure on the ground in Western Province.

Today in Limulunga and Mongu, the entire ADD executive teams led by District Chairperson Mr. Mataa Lubinda made the move official. They cited what they called a total lack of confidence in Hon. Charles Milupi and in the UPND Alliance he chose to align with.

“We can’t continue staying with people who don’t regard us as factors,” Mr. Simataa said. “We’re tired of being fooled around by a non-existent alliance.” For years, ADD operated only in Western Province. Now that base has rejected both Milupi and UPND’s direction.

They were welcomed by Tonse Pamodzi Alliance Western Province Chairman Mr. Oscar Liwoyo and his provincial executive. Both leaders agreed on one thing: Western Province needs unity and collective action to fix the challenges communities are facing.

The alliance reaffirmed its commitment to serve the people and push for policies that improve livelihoods across all communities in Barotseland. The message was clear – opposition parties are consolidating ahead of Zambia’s 2026 elections, with development and good governance as the focus.

In a final blow to UPND’s influence in the region, ADD District Chairman Mr. Mataa Lubinda declared that his team is now ready to campaign for President Brian Mundubile and his running mate Makebi Zulu.
