FIRST LADY PAYS TRIBUTE TO LATE DR GUY SCOTT

First Lady Mutinta Hichilema has paid tribute to former Vice-President Dr Guy Lindsay Scott, describing him as a patriotic statesman whose integrity and dedicated service to Zambia would be remembered for generations.

Mrs Hichilema attended Dr Scott’s funeral service alongside her husband, President Hakainde Hichilema, at the Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Lusaka, where the nation gathered to honour his life and legacy.

She said Dr Scott’s commitment to national service had earned him lasting respect.

The First Lady also conveyed her heartfelt condolences to Dr Scott’s widow, Charlotte Scott, his family and loved ones, expressing hope that the nation’s support would bring them comfort during their bereavement.

She wished him eternal peace.
