DO NOT POLITICISE DEATH, HH URGES ZAMBIANS
President Hakainde Hichilema has called on Zambians to refrain from using the death of individuals for political gain, urging the nation to respect the dignity of the deceased and their families.
Speaking during a church service held in honour of Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) leader Edith Nawakwi at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Lusaka, President Hichilema said Ms. Nawakwi should be mourned with respect, regardless of political differences.
The President emphasized that death should not be used to advance political agendas or cause distress to the families left behind.
Mrs. Nawakwi who died at 66 following an illness has since been laid to rest.
