DEBT RESTRUCTURING DEAL, RURAL PROVINCES TO BENEFIT GREATLY

Kudos to President Hakainde Hichilema and the New Dawn Administration for securing the debt restructuring deal with private creditors or bond holders as this is a great milestone for the country’s development trajectory.
Zambians will recall how foreign debt has hampered channelling more resources towards developmental projects, and now we expect the debt restructuring deal to impact positively on improving citizens’ welfare, and spur economic activities and job creation.
We are confident that rural provinces like Western Province, which has lagged behind in development for many years, will greatly benefit from the deal as government, under the focused leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema puts top priority on rural development.
