DEATH BY HAMMER
Seven people, among them a baby, were laid to rest today in Lukulu after a devastating attack in which suspected criminals set ablaze five houses.
The infant’s death was especially harrowing, with reports stating that the child was murdered with a hammer.
Police have responded by arresting two individuals linked to the crime, and have also identified the key suspect involved in the incident.
In addition to the tragic loss of life, the perpetrators are alleged to have stolen 43 cattle, valued at K370,500, compounding the loss and trauma experienced by the victims’ families.
This violent act has left the community in deep mourning and fear, underscoring the urgent need for stronger security measures and swift justice.
