Chishimba Kambwili, the Roan Constituency parliamentary candidate unleashed sharp criticism against the ruling UPND government.

His complaint centers on the purported mistreatment of the late former President Edgar Lungu, a matter he insists should resonate as a dire warning for every voter.

Speaking to a gathered crowd in Roan, Kambwili laid bare his allegations, painting a disturbing picture of disrespect toward a deceased leader whom he claims has been denied the dignity of a proper burial even a year after his death.

“President [Edgar Lungu] has been dead for the past one year and they have refused to bury him,” he declared.

His words cut deep, questioning the morality of a government asking for public support while allegedly failing basic human decency toward one of its own highest figures.

Using a poignant local proverb, “Batila ati ichikwanka bachimwena kumampalanya,” Kambwili invoked the wisdom that warning signs often precede greater calamities.

His message was clear: if the government’s attitude toward a former head of state can be so callous, how much more should citizens worry about their own treatment under the current administration?

Kambwili’s challenge to voters is more than political rhetoric—it’s a stark reflection on respect, and governance.
