CHIPOLOPOLO BOYS SKIPPER LUBAMBO MUSONDA SEES CAMEROON FRIENDLY AS AFCON FINALE REHEARSAL

Zambia captain Lubambo Musonda views Tuesday’s clash against Cameroon in Saudi Arabia as a crucial test for the Chipolopolo Boys’ upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) campaign.

Speaking to FAZ Media on Sunday from the team’s training camp, Musonda highlighted the importance of the friendly match: “The camp is going on well, and we are looking forward to our first friendly game on Tuesday. We want to see how far we have improved on what we want to achieve .”

Zambia, under the guidance of manager Avram Grant, faces a challenging Group F at AFCON, which kicks off this Saturday in Ivory Coast. They will share the coastal city of San Pedro with Morocco, Congo, and Tanzania.

Looking ahead to Zambia’s opening match against DR Congo, Musonda acknowledged the difficulty of the encounter: “Of course, it’s not an easy game. Playing against Congo is always tough, like a derby for us. But we will make sure we prepare adequately and give it our all.”
