A Cautionary Message for the UPND Youth
A Cautionary Message for the UPND Youth
Dear Young Friends,
As I reflect on the recent events surrounding Jay Jay, I feel compelled to share a word of caution with you, especially those of you who are now affiliated with the UPND party and are enjoying the corridors of power.
I understand the excitement and sense of empowerment that comes with your newfound influence. However, I implore you to stay vigilant and not let power corrupt your values. It can be all too easy to become intoxicated by the feeling of supremacy, leading you to believe that you can act with impunity, even to the point of harming others, whether physically or through disrespectful acts.
Remember, power is a double-edged sword. While it can be a tool for positive change, it can also blind us and lead us down a path of moral decay. Look at the case of Jay Jay – his actions, driven by a sense of unchecked power, have now left him in a state of suffering, regardless of his current well-being.
Furthermore, we have seen others from the previous administration, the PF, now becoming fugitives, haunted by the consequences of how they treated others when they were in power. This should serve as a cautionary tale – the way we treat others today will come back to haunt us, regardless of our current standing.
My dear young friends, as you bask in the glory of your newfound fame and influence, I urge you to always treat others with compassion and respect. Remember that power is fleeting, and it is your character and the legacy you leave behind that will truly define you.
Stay grounded, stay woke, and never forget the principles that brought you to this position. The Zambian people are watching, and they deserve leaders who will put their interests first and always strive to do what is right, even in the face of temptation.
I trust that you will heed this message and continue to uphold the best traditions of leadership.
Stay strong, stay true, and may your actions always be guided by the greater good.
Sincerely,
The Editor
