Tasila Lungu, daughter of late former President Edgar Lungu, has appealed to the public for information on the whereabouts of her husband, Patrick Mwansa, who she says has been missing and unreachable.
Lungu said she had received unconfirmed reports suggesting that Mwansa and others may have been abducted by men believed to be in uniform, although she could not verify whether the individuals involved were genuine security personnel or criminals
She also said she had received unverified reports that one person connected to the incident had allegedly been shot and another killed, but stressed that she could not independently confirm the claims.
According to Lungu, Mwansa’s prolonged silence was unusual, as he had neither returned home nor responded to calls to his phone.
“I don’t know his whereabouts. I don’t know if he’s okay,” she said, appealing to anyone with information to come forward and help establish his whereabouts.
Police have not yet issued an official statement regarding the reported disappearance.
