Leading Opposition Leader Brian Mundubile has reaffirmed that heavily armed personnel believed to be members of the Zambia Army invaded his residence on Friday night and opened fire.

Mr. Mundubile has alleged that former Lunte Member of Parliament Mutotwe Kafwaya and others were allegedly shot and seriously wounded.

In a Facebook post monitored by Hot FM , Mr. Mundubile has described the incident as an attack not only on him, but on Zambia.

He has also raised concern over the whereabouts of several people who he says were at the residence during the incident.

Mr Mundubile has demanded that the Zambia Army Commander account for everyone allegedly taken, detained or encountered by military personnel during the operation.

He has further questioned who ordered the deployment and has appealed to President Hakainde Hichilema to ensure that the Zambia Army is not associated with political violence stating that the military belongs to the Zambian people and is bound by the Constitution.
